
Most commonly cooked in every household, the flavors of a simple daal curry can be enhanced with Kausar’s daal seasoning mix making home made daal more delicious and restaurant quality. With a rich tarka of ghee, cumin seeds, black mustard seeds, thinly sliced garlic, onion, curry leaves, whole red chilies and garnished with coriander leaves, this dish not only looks beautiful but also when enjoyed with fluffy white rice, tastes heavenly.

- 1/2 cup Mung daal (yellow) washed and soaked
- 3 tbsp Masoor daal (orange) washed & soaked
- 1 large finely sliced Onion
- 10 cloves of coarsely chopped Garlic
- 1 diced Tomato
- 6-8 whole Green Chillies
- 6-8 whole Green Chillies
- A few Curry Leaves
- 1/2 cup Ghee / Oil
- 2 tbsp of Kausar Daal Curry mix
Method:
- In half the quantity of ghee /oil fry the onions for few minutes and stir in Kausar Daal Curry mix and chopped garlic.
- Now add daal, tomatoes, soya leaves, green chillies and 6 cups of water. Boil on low heat until the daal is ready.
- In a small pan heat the remaining ghee /oil and add curry leaves. Once they crackle, pour it over the cooked daal curry and cover to cook for a few more minutes.
