It was during the “basant” kite flying festival of Punjab, when people enjoyed a variety of fried pakoras and other popular snacks, that the idea of Lahori fried fish was conceived. Fish caught from the River Ravi sprinkled with local spices, was battered fried till orange and crispy. Popularized as Lahori fried fish, you can now enjoy this appetizing snack with Kausar’s exotic Lahori Fish Fry mix served with lemon slices, a dash of chaat masala and green chutney.
