
A creative fusion of flavor and cooking style, this dish is truly unique. Prepared with chicken, mutton or beef, the selected meat is slow cooked in Kausar’s mild yet fragrant seasoning and yogurt curry till its tender and the pleasing aroma fills the air. Raw pre soaked rice can be added to the mixture with a few cups of hot water, covered and left to cook till rice is fluffy or the mixture can be layered between half cooked saffron infused rice and covered to dum till its ready. Garnished with mint leaves and roasted dry fruits, the dish is best enjoyed with baingan or boondi raita.

- 1/2 kg pieces of Beef / Chicken / Mutton
- 1/2 kg Basmati Rice soaked in 2-3 cups of water for 30 minutes
- 1 finely sliced Onion
- 1/2 tbsp Kausar Ginger Paste
- 1/2 tbsp Kausar Garlic Paste
- 1/2 cup Yogurt
- 1/2 cups of Ghee / Oil
- 1 packet of Kausar Pulao Biryani masala
Method:
- Fry onion slices in hot oil till golden brown and set aside.
- In a large pot heat ghee or oil. Add ginger garlic paste, meat pieces and Kausar Pulao Biryani masala. Fry for a few minutes and then add sufficient water to boil the meat over low heat.
- Once the liquid is reduced to a thick gravy, add yogurt and further cook for a few minutes.
- Meanwhile, boil 10-12 glasses of water. Add 2 tbsp of salt and soaked rice. Once the rice is half cooked, remove from heat, drain the water and set the rice aside to cool. Add food coloring if desired.
- Spread rice over the cooked meat and garnish with caramelized onions. Cover and cook on low heat till the pulao biryani is ready. Mix well before serving.
