A popular dish of the Punjab, chana; chickpeas is the staple food of the region. Boiled chickpeas are cooked in tomato, onion, ginger and garlic curry mixed with traditional Kausar’s Punjabi spices. Garnished with green chillies, coriander leaves and a nice squeeze of lemon brings out that spicy-sour taste which is very pleasing to the taste buds. The dish is a perfect evening snack or can be enjoyed with paratha and a glass of chilled lassi as a breakfast meal.
